Disco Elysium is now available on Android, and ZA/UM marked the launch with a new trailer. But anyone expecting a copy of The Final Cut — the PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch version — will find something quite different.
A phone game, not a port
The studio describes this edition as a reimagining. It's played in portrait orientation, adapted to the phone screen and designed for short sessions. ZA/UM has said it also wants to reach people who spend their time on TikTok and other short-video apps.
The most striking change is the controls: the game uses the phone's motion, so to look around a scene you physically move the device through space.
Availability
The Android version isn't on Google Play in every region; in Russia, for example, it can't be downloaded.
What's next for ZA/UM
Meanwhile the studio is working on C4, a spy game whose protagonist lives undercover and tries not to lose their own identity along the way.
